Poster Girl is an Alternative Rock band formed in 2023 in Chicago, IL by lead singer and songwriter: Makayla Meister.

Poster Girl’s music has a nostalgic distortion in every song layered underneath emotive melodic airy vocals, with interlacing upbeat gritty riffs. Poster Girl’s songwriting style is evocative of 90’s alternative, & Lead singer-songwriter Makayla’s vocal and songwriting style has been compared to 90’s artists like: Garbage, Mazzy Star, Meredith Brooks, the Cranberries and Fiona Apple.

Poster Girl's song themes range from the pains of loving too hard, learning to loving one’s self and embracing the best and worst parts of being in love.
